These days it seems as if you can get almost anything custom, ranging from custom made jeans to t-shirts and hoodies. But why not go all head-to-toe custom including shoes? I received a 75% off postcard in the mail from Zazzle this week. The discount is actually for their greeting and photo cards but when I visited the website I discovered that Zazzle sells a wide range of custom design items including Keds.










Ahh...doesn't Keds remind you of your more innocent childhood days? Indeed, these custom design shoes are youthful, colorful and just plain old fun. They start at $50 for slip on and $60 for lace up that you design from scratch or you can pick from one of their many designs. The creativity is endless with categories called Obama shoes, Cupcake shoes, Music shoes, Pink Ribbon shoes and Goth shoes. Some of these are fun to look at but probably not shoes you would actually wear. Included are pictures of a few of my favorite pairs. It is no wonder that this site has nearly doubled in visitors in the past year from 1.8M to 3.4M unique visitors according to data from the online market research firm Compete. If you are planning ahead for holiday gifts, it's never too early to start designing a custom pair especially when they offer unlimited colors!
